| The layout is set in a fictitious location in Wales
during the time of the slate mining industry. As slate was mainly
transported for these mines by narrow gauge railway the layout features
two gauges, OO and OO-9 which keeps the realistic scale of 1:76 whilst
also allowing N gauge trains to run. The junior layout is still a
work in progress and has been a fantastic learning curve for all those
involved. When it has been finished the layout will allow four people
to run simultaneously and should be able to run most Friday nights. |
