ALSAGER RAILWAY ASSOCIATION, near CREWE, CHESHIRE - N gauge, 0 gauge and 00 gauge model railway club and layouts.

The Alsager Railway Association is a very active model railway club based here in Alsager, (near Crewe), Cheshire. There are predominantly five modelling groups, catering for the three main model railway gauges of N gauge, 00 gauge and 0 gauge, and the more unusual EM gauge and Z gauge layouts. We have a large (24' x 4') N gauge layout, an even larger O gauge layout, a recently acquired junior group EM gauge layout and a Z gauge layout that has been kindly donated (together with all its rolling stock and loco's) to the club by Alan Forrest, one of our members and we are currently in the process of re-building the '00' gauge model railway club layout, which will be on display at our 2008 Crewe Exhibition in November. Our regular meeting night is Fridays, from around 7:15 pm until around 10:30,but members can also come during other evenings if they wish, and some of our retired members even come during the day as well. We have approximately 60 members, and have a very active junior membership that have their own exhibition quality 'EM' gauge layout for their own use and enjoyment (currently being updated). Our club room is large enough to house all five model railway layouts, and a project to extend the club room is has now been completed, which has greatly enhanced the clubs facilities. For many years the alsager railway association have been designing and planning new ways to design new layouts.  Now with the introduction of computer software we can bring many layouts to a virtual platform which look exciting even before the track is done.  our members currently have their own little section on the web and can allow new members or visitors to leave their comments about the alsager railway association or post comments in email form to us.

We currently have links to many locations on the alsager website which is based in UK, England, crewe and all members are based around north and south west of England coming to crewe to display their layouts for demonstration of their work.
