(NOTE: CLICK ON A PHOTO FOR A LARGER VERSION - USE YOUR BROWSER BACK BUTTON TO GO BACK)

The layout is progressing slowly but methodically with various aspects now having been agreed and finalised, in particular the final track plan has been discussed and agreed and is going to be split into its separate sections shortly to be able to identify the various area of interest and the details of the individual section of the Main line, Branch Line, Goods Area, and the shunting area's (notice there is no 'fiddle yard' any longer )
Since the last update, we have had our annual Exhibition which was held in the Alsager Civic Centre on 5th and 6th November 2011, hence, although our Lawton Hey layout was not exhibited, there were a lot of our members involved in various activities as indicated by the following Photos.

Now ! Where did this bit come from ?

ALL THE FOLLOWING PICTURES WERE TAKEN AT OUR 2011 EXHIBITION
IN THE ALSAGER CIVIC CENTRE (SAT 5TH / SUN 6TH NOVEMBER

"Inglenook Sidings" Shunting Puzzle - Deep in thought

A great success for lots of children of all ages !

What does this button do then ?

Our club stall was very busy on both days, with lots of sales and advice given.

You've got to move that, from there to there .... Hmmm

The 'Starting Point' ... now shunt them into 1,2,3,4 order ... not that easy !

Hornby Dublo 3 rail layout from Mike Sant. Almost all of what you see was given to me as a Christmas present when I was 6 years old back in 1957,

The only new item being the layout boards, which measures 4ft 6 inches x 8ft

Mike Sant Demonstrating Painting and Lining locomotives. Photo shows him lining an '0' gauge Class B North Staffordshire Railways tank loco, applying lining with a draftsman's ruling pen, and a very accurate and steady hand - incredible to watch..

The extent of the club stall can be seen here as it was almost the full length of the 'stage' and had to be 'manned' by two people all and every day.
